Greenstreams: Schedule of Practical Volunteer Work Days 2011

Notes for volunteers

1. If volunteers wish to attend any of these events it would be appreciated if they could confirm this 2 weeks in advance of any work session. This will allow Environmental Alliance to plan tasks according to numbers of volunteers.

2. Environmental Alliance staff will be on site and available to supervise volunteers between 10am and 4pm. This will give time to prepare tasks, organise tools, etc.

3. Tools and equipment will be provided by Environmental Alliance.

4. Volunteers should come to work sessions suitably dressed for the weather and with stout footwear. Gloves and other necessary protective gear such as goggles, will be provided by Environmental Alliance as necessary.

5. A Risk Assessment will be undertaken by Environmental Alliance for all work sessions and a safety briefing for volunteers will precede the start of work.6. It will be the responsibility of all volunteers to inform Environmental Alliance staff how long they intend to be present on site and when they leave.

Please see the Corporate Sponsorship and voluteer page for more details.
